Here is the much waited Game of Thrones Season 8 Teaser Trailer titled ‘Crypts of Winterfell’.

As you will note it’s another ‘walk through hallways’ video, like last year. This time it’s through the Winterfell crypts. It was directed by series regular David Nutter.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Teaser Trailer ‘Crypts of Winterfell’

First we have Jon Snow aka Stark (Kit Harington) pasting a statue of his mother, Lyanna Stark. The voice over says “You have to protect him”! There is a feather in her hand that falls to the floor. That feather was placed there by Robert Baratheon in the series first episode!

Next Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) walks past Catelyn’s statue and her voiceover says “All this horror that has come to my family”. A quote from season three.

Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is seen walking down a hallway. And the voiceover continues, “It’s all because I couldn’t love a motherless child”.

Jon walks pass Ned’s statue and his voiceover says, “You are a Stark, you might not have my name, but you have my blood”. This is a quote from the first season also, episode two.

Then, in an alcove, we have Jon, Sansa, and Arya finding statues of themselves! Are all three going to die (hence the statues)?

The torches blow out and a cold mist, the feather ices over, are the White Walkers coming?

As you will note the trailer is all very symbolic.

Game of Thrones returns for its eighth and final season of just six, very vital and extra length, episodes on April 14, 2019.
